Scholarships for Kids, a leading nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding educational opportunities for Alabama students, is pleased to announce the appointment of Austin Hardison as its new Executive Director.
Hardison brings a wealth of experience in nonprofit leadership and development. Prior to joining Scholarships for Kids, he served as the Executive Director of Red Mountain Grace, a Birmingham-based nonprofit providing housing for out-of-town patients and caregivers receiving medical treatment. His tenure there was marked by significant growth in community engagement and donor support.
In addition to his nonprofit work, Hardison has an extensive background in development and community relations, having held roles at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) School of Medicine and Lifeline Children’s Services.
“I am honored to join Scholarships for Kids and to work alongside a team committed to making quality education accessible to all children in Alabama,” said Hardison. “Education has the power to transform lives, and I look forward to building on the organization’s strong foundation to help serve more students across Alabama.
In his new role, Hardison will oversee the organization’s strategic direction, partnerships, and fundraising efforts to ensure that more families can access the educational opportunities they seek for their children. To connect with Austin, email him at austin@scholarshipsforkids.org.
